Ninja-ja Update: It's almost done, Dan is just about finished with it so it will come out early next week.

Okay we found our winners, I will be announcing them on Monday! Thanks to all who sent in an email, also see I told you the level isn't impossible ;) I made this contest just to prove that.

Alright well it's finally here! After all the blood, sweat and tears! Let's look at what we added in this version and let's look at where you can enjoy the game.
Added on v3.3:
  • The Trading Center is now open for business! - Trade your pokemon with other trainers, search for trades, and transfer your pokemon from one profile to the other. Without all that nasty duping!
  • New Story Level - Vermilion Gym! - Will Joey finally know your gender? What has Brock been up to? Just how hard is that gym level? Find out this plus more!
  • Increased Experience Gain! - Earn 50% more experience per kill! This will only last a week!
  • Increased Shiny Encounter Rate! - 300% more of a chance to see shiny pokemon in the wild! This will only last a week!
  • Player Avatars! - You can now choose an avatar from your character, play the new level to choose! More different avatars will be added later.
  • Legendary Pokemon Hunt! - Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres have invaded Route 2, Route 3, Viridian Forest 2, Mt Moon 1, and Route 5. Use the help of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune to help you defeat their attack! After this week Entei, Raikou and Suicune will return to where they came from (I'm removing them from the game, enjoy it will you can :D)
  • Bug Fixes! - About a million bugs squashed! Check out the previous blog for more info.

Pokemon Tower Defense: Level 8 is out! Alpha v2.1

Level 8 is done are ready to be played, but please read this first before you go!

You will know if you are playing the new version because it will say Alpha v2.1.

First of all, I want to explain the pokemart. You go to the pokemart you buy the stone that you need, then you go select a level to play and on the party select screen you press on the pokemon that you want to use the stone with. You will see a button there "Use Item". Click on that, if the pokemon can use that stone you will see it there.

Second, on Level 8 - Mt Moon 1, there is a spot on the map that you put your pokemon in that looks brown instead of the usual orange. That spot is meant only for Rock Type pokemon! It's not a bug, only rock type pokemon can go there.

Third, codes for evolution stones for people who donated in the past will have to wait until next week, I didn't get a chance to add that into the game.

I will have a proper inventory screen later on, and the pokemart will get prettier as time goes on.

Fourth, I have currently sent the swf file to Newgrounds- Updated, Gamerfish-Updated, Freeworldgroup, Mofunzone, playtowerdefensegames - updated, funny games, OneMoreLevel.com. Let me know if there is a site that you want me to send the update to!

Lastly, the level is possible to finish, trust me I have done it without cheating. Yes the level is difficult, enjoy.

Pokemon Tower Defense: This week's update: Progress List

It's that time again. Here I will list out all my current objectives for this week. The main one is the pokemart! A new story level, (you can actually lose!) and some new pokemon. This week we are heading to Mt. Moon and meeting up with Brock. The sad news is that there will be no level cap increase, but I promise you all that next week the cap will increase ( I think).

    Level 8 (Mt. Moon):

    Intro (100% done)
    Actual Level (100% done)
    Ending (100% done)

New Pokemon (5) with New Moves (16) (100% done)
New Evolutions (5) with Evolution Stone(100% done)
Shiny Pikachu & Raichu (100% done) (Really low chance of him showing up, prize for different small contest)

The poll results for what you guys wanted to be done first are in! 14126 votes!
Pokemart got 46%, Shiny Wild Pokemon got 34%, and a Challenge Mode level got 19%!
Pokemart is the winner, but you can't have a pokemart without an inventory so that is coming out also.

    Pokemart (100% done)

Small change in plan, there won't be an inventory screen, for now you can use the items on the pokemon's profile page (You get to it by clicking on the pokemon when selecting your party, then clicking on "Use Item")

Bugs/Fixes:(These are the ones I have finished, I'll be adding more as I get them done)
    1. Pidgey should now appear on route 3. (This is why some spearow had pidgeys moves)
    2. Pokemon in Viridian Forest 2 will give out more money to compensate how difficult they are.
    3. Metapod in Viridian Forest 2 were missing an attack, so I made sure that they have it now.
    4. Removing a pokemon that is currently in your party will now remove it correctly.
    5. For Marketplace app users, you will only need to put the code once, then you won't ever need to put it, it will go straight to the game.
    6. For app users, the game will no longer keep your screen on when you exit the game.
    7. Your pokemon "towers" will now animate.
    8. Added Nintendo/Game Freak copyright and trademark acknowledgments.
    9. Added more room to the bottom of the level on Brock's Gym, to make it easier to select pokemon on the bottom row.

As the week goes on I will be updating this post quite a bit. So stay tuned. As always let me know what you think :)

    PTD: Level 5 is out!

UPDATE: I updated the level and had to run out, so I forgot to include a couple of things.
    1. Onix is spelled correctly :)
    2. You don't get the badge in this level, you will get the aftermath of this event on the next level (you aren't done in pewter just yet, there's a nice little museum there)
    3. Sandshrew and Geodude are the only pokemon used in one of the versions of the game (FireRed/LeafGreen) so I went with that.
    4. I was trying to get the update out quickly so my bad on the typo, will fix for next update (nobody wants to download a whole new build just for a simple typo)
    5. The "movie scene" is done so that you always lose a pokemon, so even if you bring one, the game will take that away. First it looks for a starter, then it looks for anybody else.
    6. Thunder wave should not work on ground pokemon, that is a mistake on my side.
    7. The fight will be a lot easier if you have all your pokemon at a high level, I didn't want to balance it around the fact that you would have 5 lvl 10s, since somebody that will play the game won't have that when there are more levels and they don't have to stop and repeat levels.
    8. The fight will be easy also if you use good strategy, like using tail whip, string shot, bite, it's meant to reward you if you do things like that.
Keep the feedback rolling, I will probably get a good amount of grammatical errors and spelling errors, I apologies in advance for that.

Did anybody think the level was tough?

A new update is out for Pokemon Tower Defense it includes:
    • Level 5 - First Gym Battle
    • Releasing Pokemon
    • New Party Select Screen (Uses Dragging instead of tapping)
    • Bug fixes that you guys pointed out:
      • Being able to place a pokemon out in random spots.
      •  Pokemon trying to learn a move that they already know.
Also just letting you guys know that this update doesn't increase the level cap, and that you can't catch any new pokemon in this level.

Enjoy, and as always let me know what you think! Good luck against Brock :)
